The program has put in place governance, coordination and implementation structures in all regions including the newly established Sidama and Southwestern Ethiopia regions. Program resources have been transferred to implementing entities up to woreda level. In addition to US$ 300 million from IDA, British Embassy, UNICEF, government of Finland, Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), Saud Fund for Development and Embassy of the Netherland are contributing additional US$ 241.5$ million and the government of Ethiopia is contributing a 15% counterpart funding amounting to US$ 108.44 6/21/2022 Page 1 of 11 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report One WASH—Consolidated Water Supply, Sanitation, and Hygiene Account Project (One WASH—CWA) (P167794) million. Funding from the additional development partners have also started disbursing into the Consolidated WASH Account. Results to date include:  Rural WASH: Encouraging implementation progress was noted, with 910 rural water supply schemes (844 new, five expansions, and 61 rehabilitations) completed and providing services to 204,083 rural residents – mostly on spot schemes. Behavior Change Communication (BCC) materials have been disseminated to program woredas and 170,704 people trained on sanitation and hygiene behavior and practices. 119 sanitation marketing centers have been established and made functional. 489,543 households have constructed improved latrines. An estimated 1.9 million people have benefited from improved sanitation services and 785 kebeles have been declared Open Defecation Free (ODF).  Urban WASH: Through the two subcomponents (medium and small towns) the program supports 56 small towns and eight medium towns (four in Oromia and four in SNNP) to create access to potable water supply and improved sanitation facility for 1.07 million and 0.32 million urban people respectively. In SNNP construction is under way for all four medium towns (Dilla, Saula, Tercha, Worabe). In Oromia construction has started in Fincha’a and Wolisso and the schemes in Yabello and Legetafo are under preparation. One small town water supply project (Shilabo in Somali Region) has been completed benefiting about 10,111 urban residents. 11 small towns are at different stages of construction (five in Amhara, two in Oromia, two in Sidama, one in Somali and one in SNNP).  Institutional WASH: In schools, to date: 246 schools have benefited from water supply facilities (157 new and 89 rehabilitated) - 13.3% of the program target; 369 schools have been benefited from sanitation facilities and declared ODF, and; 103 new menstrual hygiene management (MHM) facilities have been completed. In the health sector, to date: 218 water supply schemes have been built (147 new and 71 rehabilitated) - 14.4% of the program; 466 latrine facilities constructed (392 new and 74 rehabilitated), and; 301 incinerators and 161 placenta pits completed (31.5% and 40% of program targets respectively). Progress on the WaSH packaging approach at the health facilities is encouraging, especially in Oromia, Amhara, Sidama, SNNP, and Dire Dawa.  Climate Resilient (CR) WASH: To date, six of the 41 identified CR WASH sub-projects are initiated; six have completed source development and an additional three are under advanced stages of procurement.  GEMS: As part of facilitating real-time monitoring, automated data analysis and management of offline and online project data collection, a Geo Enabling initiative for Monitoring and Supervision (GEMS) has been developed and adopted using a web based application called Kobo Toolbox. The tool is used to provide real time status update on progress of sub-projects.
