PDO and Indicators: PDO indicator 1 (component 1), improved school readiness among those entering first grade in participating communities, has been achieved among children attending 136 preschool institutions supported by the project (target: 134). PDO indicator 2 (component 1), increased number of high schools targeted by the project which meets Armenia’s construction and safety standards, has been achieved and is soon to be exceeded. The rehabilitation of Vagharshapat High School no. 5 (school # 12) has now been completed and the school is fully operational. The renovation works of the adjacent areas for Goris High School no. 1 are being finalized and envisioned to be completed by the end of April 2022. This last school will bring the number of rehabilitated schools to 13 (target: 12). PDO indicator 3 (component 1), increased number of high schools equipped with resources, has been achieved, with 107 schools equipped by the project (target: 107).
