The implementing agency, National Social Investment Fund of Tajikistan (NSIFT), has contracted the services of Training and Facilitating Partners (TFPs), National Association of Dekhan Farmers and Agro-Services Consulting, to support the community mobilization and capacity building activities in Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO). The TFPs conducted outreach at the district, jamoat, and village levels, which were attended by an estimated 28,072 community members. They launched community mobilization activities and met the project’s 50 percent targets for the participation of youth and women. The TFPs held discussions in each mahalla on the nomination and selection of candidates for the village project committees (VPCs), jamoat project commissions (JPCs), and the role of youth monitors (YMs). The implementing agency has also secured the services of the Implementing Partner that will provide youth-inclusive services in Khatlon and GBAO (subcomponent 2a), launched the training of trainers for the delivery of these services, and advanced the renovation of youth facilities (subcomponent 1c) that will be used for the implementation of youth-inclusive services.
