Program Management Unit (PMU) and Steering Committee. Since last ISR, the PMU was formally created on November 10, 2021 as well as the joint Steering Committee (with the TREEA project financed by the French Agency for Development). The first Steering Committee was organized on February 14, 2022. Implementation progress. Two DLI are already achieved and are being processed for disbursement: (i) Food export improved with 100% of export inspection certifications issued in digital forms in 2021 representing around 200,000 certifications (DLI#6 fully achieved and being disbursed); and (ii) Digital ecosystem for Climate-smart agriculture established: 530 users using the digital advisory support platform "ARDNA" (DLI #8.4 partially achieved). The DLI#7 aiming at Improving Food safety with 1,000 agri-food enterprises authorized by ONSSA has been fully achieved, but still under verification. Other activities also demonstrated progress such as the Construction of modernized wholesale markets in four major cities, with the Strategic E&S Assessment already completed and disclosed, on-going feasibility studies and creation of dedicated entities for their management (DLI#4). A mission of an FAO expert has been organized end of March 2022 to assess the progress for the 4 markets (Berkane, Marrackech, Meknes and Agadir). In parallel to the PforR’s implementation and contributing to the Result Area 3, an AgriTech4Morocco Innovation Challenge has been launched on March 31, 2022 with support from the Digital Development Partnership and in partnership with the CGIAR Accelerate for Impact Platform, IMPACT Lab, the Moroccan Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests (MAPMDREF) and the Pôle d’Agriculture Digitale (PAD). It is designed to scout, select, and accelerate disruptive solutions aimed at responding to the pressing challenges impacting the Moroccan agri-food sector. This initiative will have synergies with the WBG's project Innov'Invest.
