The last OPBRC contract for an amount of US$15.84 million equivalent, which is financed under the additional financing, was signed on December 2, 2021. Mobilization of Contractors and MCs are at different stages. Design services have commenced in five out of the six OPBRCs, while actual construction works have started on a stretch of 45 km of feeder roads in Bono East Region. The Consultancy Services for Expanding Road Asset Management System (RAMS) and Upgrading of GIS is progressing well. Component 2: Progress on this component is satisfactory with several activities already completed and the second phase is being implemented. The priority activities included in the second phase are (i) supporting the transition of NRSC to NRSA, (ii) updating of the RADMS, and (iii) the system integration support to DVLA. The review of the National Transport Policy (NTP) of 2008 was completed, through consultancy services financed under the project, and approved by Cabinet of Ghana on August 17, 2020. The draft final report for the consultancy services for an Assessment Study for the Development of the Volta Lake Inland Transport System, has been produced.
