On August 3, 2021, and subsequently on November 16, 2021, the World Bank received a formal request from the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) to: (i) extend the Project's closing date from December 31, 2021 to December 31, 2022; and to (ii) reallocate Loan proceeds between disbursement categories. On December 2, 2021 the amendment to the loan was signed. The restructuring of the Project will allow the completion of several rehabilitation processes that could not be completed in 2021 and the inclusion of school reopening interventions.
