This ISR was prepared based on technical discussions with FNDS and UNOPS implemented during the months of August and October 2021, (first and second supervision missions) and subsequent videoconferences. The Financing Agreement for the original financing was signed on May 20, 2021, and become effective on July 1, 2021. It is expected that the effectiveness of the AF will be obtained by January 31, 2022. 12/23/2021 Page 1 of 10 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Northern Crisis Recovery Project (P176157) Activities under component 1 have been initiated with the hiring of consultants and service providers for (i) the design of the civil registration process for IDPs; and (ii) the provision of psychosocial support, counseling, and social cohesion activities, including peacebuilding committees. In component 2, (i) seeds procurement has been initiated, (ii) youth engagement for livelihoods training has commenced with a local NGO, (iii) cash- for-work have been included in the WASH infrastructure component as a needs-based approach. Under component 3, the UNOPS team has (i) conducted field visits and site assessments to inform the preparation of detailed designs for activities, including WASH interventions, (ii) government engagement to endorse approaches and technical specifications have commenced, (iii) government engagement to agree on specifications for health procurement has commenced.
