And, under Component 3, the Project is strengthening management of critical fisheries habitats by assessing current and potential new sites for marine protected areas (MPAs), developing technical assistance, training, and exchanging lessons learned in regard to MPA management, and by working to establish a regional financing mechanism to support marine conservation and MPAs. This year the Project has completed the following activities: (i) Analysis and development of a Pacific ocean risk insurance mechanism; (ii) Analysis and development of a Pacific ocean bond financing vehicle; (iii) Analysis and development of a replicable community-managed marine area financing mechanism; and (iv) Delivery of the Pacific Ocean Finance Conference. 6/26/2020 Page 2 of 7 Public Disclosure Copy The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Pacific Islands Regional Oceanscape Program Forum Fisheries Agency (P131655) 6/26/2020 Page 3 of 7 Public Disclosure Copy The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Pacific Islands Regional Oceanscape Program Forum Fisheries Agency (P131655) mpaTable Multiphase Programmatic Approach (MPA) Status mpaTableBody Risks Systematic Operations Risk-rating Tool Risk Category Rating at Approval Previous Rating Current Rating Political and Governance Moderate Substantial Moderate Macroeconomic Moderate Moderate Moderate Sector Strategies and Policies Moderate Moderate Moderate Technical Design of Project or Program Moderate High Moderate Institutional Capacity for Implementation and Substantial High Moderate Sustainability Fiduciary Moderate Moderate Moderate Environment and Social Substantial Low Low Stakeholders Substantial High Moderate Other Moderate Moderate Substantial Overall Substantial High Substantial Results PDO Indicators by Objectives / Outcomes PDO Indicators IN00846069 ►Number of large marine protected or marine managed areas conserving habitat critical to support Pacific fisheries, for which sustainable revenue streams are identified (Number, Custom) Baseline Actual (Previous) Actual (Current) End Target Value 0.00 0.00 0.00 3.00 Date 15-Feb-2015 12-Dec-2019 12-Dec-2019 30-Sep-2020 This work is in progress and the target is expected to be achieved by project end.
