 IBRD Financing: $400 Million                                     IBRD, other development banks, and bilateral agencies are
                                                                  supporting three phases of the Noor-Ouarzazate Complex
                                                                  which uses state-of-the-art concentrated solar power
                                                                  technology. The components of the Complex being
                                                                  supported are: Noor I – 160 MW under construction; and,
                                                                  Noor II and III, with a combined capacity of 250 MW to be built
                                                                  by private sponsors. The $400 million IBRD loan finances
                                                                  part of the construction costs and the government’s utility
                                                                  power purchases.
