Original/Current Project Development Objectives/Outcomes
The original Project Objective was to strengthen the institutional framework for the Tourism Sector to
facilitate environmentally and socially sound investments, in particular in the East. The project is being
closed at the request of the Government and no change to PDO. The outcome remains the same which
cannot be achieved as the Project is not being implemented.
