This is largely attributable to GCP’s support in the area of capacity building and technology transfer. The two private firms are in the process of expanding their mango processing lines and pre-cooling storage facilities to ensure adequate capacity to process the expected tonnage of mangoes to be purchased from the outgrowers. These installations will help increase their processing and storage capacity to ensure that outgrower mangos are processed on time for export. Certification to GlobalGap Option II achieved. Eight two small and medium enterprises have benefited from the matching grant facility and the two newer windows are also showing good progress. 2: (B) Tourism arrival figures from traditional market sources declined by 50% in the first quarter of 2015 compared to same period in 2014, while arrivals from non-traditional market sources declined by 25%. This decline in arrivals is attributable to the Ebola crisis in the sub-region although no Ebola case was or has been reported in The Gambia.
