Has the Project Development Objective been changed since Board Approval of the Project Objective? No Components Table Name Institutional strengthening of hydro-meteorological services and development of data management tools:(Cost $3.00 M) Identification of hydro-meteorological and climate services’ requirements for select end users and development of information services to support decision making:(Cost $1.40 M) Support to project implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and PPCR knowledge management:(Cost $0.60 M) Overall Ratings Name Previous Rating Current Rating Progress towards achievement of PDO Moderately Satisfactory Moderately Satisfactory Overall Implementation Progress (IP) Moderately Satisfactory Moderately Satisfactory Overall Risk Rating High High Implementation Status and Key Decisions A Mid-Term Review (MTR) was conducted on November 12-16, 2018 which confirmed the relevance of the project's objectives and recalled the crucial importance for the institutions and sectors to have access to reliable and high-quality hydro-meteorological and climate information services. The project is near completion of Phase 1 (Diagnostic and Design) and with its current deliverables will now launch the second phase of the project. With a view to further reduce project risks as well as considering the long lead time for the procurement of equipment, the approach to achieving the 12/31/2018 Page 1 of 7 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report HT Strengthening Hydro-Met Services (P148259) PDO has been slightly modified by reducing the purchase and installation of additional hydrological stations from 40 to 12 as it was proposed in Phase 1; however, in addition to the 12 stations, the project will finance watershed models to develop a flood information and forecasting system that will provide better and more relevant information to end users to the needs of the civil protection and agriculture sector. The project will now launch the procurement of the three main contracts, for i) 12 monitoring stations, ii) a comprehensive flood model for Haiti's watersheds, and iii) data integration platform for all existing and new Hydromet stations. 12/31/2018 Page 2 of 7 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report HT Strengthening Hydro-Met Services (P148259) Risks Systematic Operations
