The program secured a number of successes including (i) the distribution of LLINs Campaign in 19 of the 22 MDG and GFATM supported States (ii) Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) is underway in four states (Gombe, Jigawa, Bauchi and Anambra) and all 7 states are in advanced planning for IRS 2013 activities. (iii) Maternal Newborn and Child Health Weeks (MNCH Weeks) have been implemented in all project States. All the seven (7) Booster states have provided adequate resources for implementation. As at now data from the states on INMCH weeks for the May round shows 4.3million children under 5 year received Vitamin A supplementation with a coverage of coverage of 78% ; 2.2 million children were de-wormed (39.9%) and 336,564 pregnant women received SP. IMNCH weeks conducted twice a year have provided a Page 1 of 6 The World Bank Report No: ISR8897 unique opportunity to deliver of an integrated package of primary care services (iv) To promote positive health seeking behavior an established civil society organization Nigerian Inter Faith Agency (NIFAA) is now fully functional with trainings and actual activities at community level on going. In addition, several large procurement packages are underway including that of 6.75 million LLIN; 7.0 million ACTs. 1.6 million doses of ACT 1&2 have been delivered to the country and these are being distributed to the states. (c) Re-allocate un-disbursed financial resources from nonperforming states to the Federal to allow for optimal utilization of funds.
