Municipal finances in Korea 1977-1982 (English)

This is a study of local finances in non-metropolitan cities in Korea. It provides an overview of the local government finance system and analyzes the fiscal performances of all cities other than Seoul and Busan during the 1977-82 period. The analysis suggests that non-metropolitan cities as a whole significantly improved their finances over the period. It also identifies room for further improvement.
