Amendment to Grant Agreement
We refer to the Grant Agreement (the Agreement), dated March 27, 1995 between 
Burkina Faso (the Recipient) and the International Development Association (the 
Association) as Administrator of Development Aid Funds provided by Norway in 
conjuntion with the above-mentioned project, and your letter dated February 3, 1998, 
requesting from the Association an increase in the Authorized Allocation under the 
Special Account.  We are pleased to inform you that the Association agrees to modify 
paragraph 1 (c) of Schedule 3 of the Agreement to read as follows:
(c)    the term “Authorized Allocation” means an amount of $300,000 to be 
withdrawn from the Trust Account and deposited into the Special Account pursuant to 
paragraph 3 (a) of this Schedule.”
All provisions of the Agreement, except as amended herein, shall remain in full 
force and effect.
Please indicate your agreement with the foregoing by countersigning and dating 
the two original copies of this letter and returning one original to us.  This 
amendment shall become effective as of the date of your countersignature.
