Second Amendment
Dcar Sir:
We refer to the to the Grant Agreement (Agreement) between the Republic of the
Sudan (Recipient) and the International Development Association (World Bank), as
adiinistrator of grant funds provided by various donors under the Multi-Donor Trust Fund for
the Sudan (MDTF-N), dated July 9, 209, as amended. We are pleased to inform you that the
World Bank concurs with your requesi and proposes to amend the Agreement as follows:
Section 2.03 (c) of the Annex to the Agreement is amended to read as follows:
(c) Project Implementation Arrangements The Recipient shall establish
and maintain until cornpletion of the Project the following entities, which
shall be further described in the Operations Procedure Manual: (i) a
Project Steering Committee; (ii) a Project Implementation Unit at the
Ministry of General Education; each of the above with membership,
staffing, responsibilities and resources satisfactory to the World Bank.
Please confirm your agreement with the foregoing, on behalf of the Recipient, by signing, dating,
and returning to us the enclosed copy of this Letter of Amendment. Upon receipt by World Bank
of the copy of this Letter of Amendment countersigned by you, this Letter of Amendment will
become effective as of the date of countersignature.
