A cornerstone of the support provided to the Anti- Corruption Commission (ACC) of Jordan is the improvement of the case management and statistical development which will enhance the official efficiency and effectiveness of ACC's services, allow for more comprehensive planning activities, and provide greater transparency related to ACC procedures, such as the assignment and investigation of cases. It also allows linking ACC directly to the broader complaints mechanism in the public sector. The Project continues to make good progress towards its objectives and is expected to be completed by 31st March 2015. The TTL and the Senior Procurement Specialist regularly meet and call the JACC team in charge of developing and implementing the automated case management which will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of ACC’s services, Page 1 of 4 The World Bank Report No: ISR10651 allow for more comprehensive planning activities and provide greater transparency related to ACC procedures such as the assignment and investigation of cases. Regarding the tender process for the automated Case Management System (CMS), the technical evaluation for the eight (8) proposals was completed in March 2014 but it took some time for the tender committee to select the company (end of May 2014) and to sign the contract (15 June 2014). The implementation should start by July 1st according to the following agenda: Public Disclosure Copy � July 2014: JACC environment / Road map preparation / Determination of requirements; � August - November 2014: Application Design and Development Phase; � January 2015: Test application and feedback phase; � February 2015: Implementation and Installation Phase / Documentation and system manuals / Technical training for IT staff / Training of ACC senior management and staff on the use of the automated system; � March 2015: Final users’ acceptance / Project's closure. Also, a 2013-2017 National Anti-Corruption Strategy was recently prepared. It includes the vision, mission, core principles, and goals of the Anti-Corruption Commission. It also contains an executive action plan which identifies key tasks and activities required to achieve national goals as well as determining the responsibility of all relevant partners within a time frame to implement. This strategy forms a coordination framework for all efforts of institutions agencies involved in combating corruption, as it is considered the basic tool to entrench the principles of good governance, integrity, transparency and accountability.
