                                         TUVALU - NEW MEMBER OF IDA



                 The Articles of Agreement of the Association were signed today by The
          Honourable Lotoala Metia, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning of Tuvalu.
          Tuvalu becomes a member of the Association with a subscription of US$24,127.

                    Membership in the Association now totals 170.
