Cumulative disbursement for GEF TF is 52% and US$7.1m (out of 9.8m GEF fund) has been committed. A significant progress has been made with respect to compensation and resettlement of project affected households (PAHs), with about 99.6% of the PAHs having cleared the land for constructions. Civil works for the Ring Road component have almost been completed despite pending resettlement of the remaining two households, and road has been put into effective operation since January 2016 and is expected to be fully completed by August 2016. For the BRT component, civil work contracts for 21 stations and 2 terminals (Kim Ma and Yen Nghia) have been completed. One of the two largest contract for BRT vehicles is progressing well. The other largest contract for fare collection and other ITS equipment is facing further delays and the procurement process is expected to be concluded in June 2016.
