First Amendment to the Financing Agreement
Excellency:
We refer to the Financing Agreement (the "Agreement") between the Republic of
Burundi (the "Recipient") and the International Development Association (the
"Association"), dated August 5, 2016 for the abovementioned Project. We also refer to
your letter dated September 23, 2019, requesting some specific modifications to the
Agreement. Please note that capitalized terms used in this letter ("Amendment Letter")
and not defined herein have the meaning ascribed to them in the Agreement.
We are pleased to inform you that the Association concurs with your request and
proposes to amend the Agreement as follows:
1.    The table under Section IV.A.2 of Schedule 2 to the Agreement is hereby amended
as set forth in the Attachment to this Agreement.
All the terms and conditions of the Agreement that have not been amended hereby
shall remain unchanged and in full force and effect.


Please confirm your agreement with the foregoing amendment, on behalf of the
Recipient, by signing, dating and returning to the Association the enclosed copy of this
Amendment Letter. This Amendment Letter shall become effective as of the date of its
countersignature upon receipt by the Association of a countersigned copy of this letter.
