The ongoing activities under component 2 have produced relevant outputs to promote the strengthening of the municipalities, but have experienced delays due to Recife’s internal procurement processing. Most of them are now on track and most of the resources allocated to technical assistance are expected to be used. Recife has achieved and exceeded all the intermediate indicator targets for 2017, including all DLIs and the activities supported by the project have progressed well in 2018 with the expectation that all the new targets for 2018 will be met. The ongoing activities under component 2 that have experienced delays due but are now on track with all consultancies and services hired or about to be hired, with many of the consultancies close to delivering the last products, including the impact evaluations of the age-grade distortion correction and full-time schools programs. These results have been achieved despite a low disbursement rate. The overall disbursement rate is 55.2% (out of US$130 million) and the results- based component disbursement rate is 52% (out of US$120 million).
