The project implementation launched in early 2015. The project has tremendous potential for improving the efficiency and coverage of government service delivery in Ghana using information and communication technology (ICT). The project is anchored at the Ministry of Communications (MoC), and supports 9 or more government agencies in using ICT for transforming service delivery. To date, an interim project implementation team has been established. Further staffing including of technical experts is being done. The procurement packages of several electronic government applications are being prepared and reviewed. Though project implementation is ramping up, the pace of progress can be further expedited. A full-scale implementation is dependent on a broad range of technical expertise to be brought on board within the implementation team. Those activities are work in progress. Once the team is fully on board, rapid implementation can be expected. A strong core team at the coordinating center of MoC will help drive development of ICT-based development across government.
