This note points out that: a) reconstruction is driving a modest economic recovery in Aceh; b) the agricultural and manufacturing sectors remain stagnant; c) creating sustainable employment remains a major challenge; and d) inflation continues to decline, with year-on-year (YOY) inflation falling to 8.5 percent in June 2007.
