No The World Bank Global Partnership for Education - Balochistan Education Project (P144454) II. SUMMARY OF PROJECT STATUS AND PROPOSED CHANGES The Project has disbursed all grant proceeds but requires additional time to finalize school construction activities given the challenges presented on the ground (e.g. security concerns in certain areas, remoteness, change of leadership of Project staff and Education department). The delay in construction activities has also impacted the placement of teachers and training activities; the closing date extension will allow the Government and the project team to make schools fully functional by ensuring that all aspects are completed (i.e. school construction, teacher placement and training, and the availability of teaching learning material and furniture). The only proposed change to this Project at this time is an extension of the closing date until 30-Mar-2019; the current, and original, closing data is 30-Dec-2018. This extension will allow school construction and other impacted activities to be completed. III.
