Following a somewhat slow start, NORMA established a project implementation team and implementation of project activities has gained momentum in the last six months. NORMA have identified the need for additional capacity within the agency to enhance the management of oceanic fisheries and are recruiting several key positions. The Department of Resources and Development developed a terms of reference for design of the Coastal Fisheries component and consultants are being recruited to undertake the study. A Fisheries Symposium will be held in FSM in May 2016. 5/20/2016 Page 2 of 8 Public Disclosure Copy Public Disclosure Copy The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Pacific Islands Regional Oceanscape Program - FSM (P151754) 5/20/2016 Page 3 of 8 Public Disclosure Copy Public Disclosure Copy The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Pacific Islands Regional Oceanscape Program - FSM (P151754) Risks Systematic Operations Risk-rating Tool Risk Category Rating at Approval Previous Rating Current Rating Political and Governance  Moderate  Moderate  Moderate Macroeconomic  Moderate  Moderate  Moderate Sector Strategies and Policies  Moderate  Moderate  Moderate Technical Design of Project or Program  Moderate  Moderate  Moderate Institutional Capacity for Implementation and Sustainability  Substantial  Substantial  Substantial Fiduciary  Moderate  Moderate  Moderate Environment and Social  Substantial  Substantial  Substantial Stakeholders  Substantial  Substantial  Substantial Other  Moderate  Moderate  Moderate Overall  Substantial  Substantial  Substantial Results Project Development Objective Indicators PHINDPDOTBL  Number of days fished in a country’s waters does not exceed its agreed annual allocation of fishing vessel days (PAE), while the total regional allocation (TAE) remains within sustainable levels* (Percentage, Custom) Baseline Actual (Previous) Actual (Current) End Target Value 92.00 -- -- 100.00 Date 15-Feb-2015 -- -- 30-Jun-2021 Comments The actual status will be updated once the DLI Independent Verification Study is completed in May 2016.
