On capacity building, following the discussion during the previous mission, the PMU recruited an international technical expert who will support the PMU throughout the project providing technical inputs and providing capacity building. Accordingly, the PMU organized a targeted training program for the PMU, MoE, EDL and potential national service providers related to practical PCB management activities including the nature of the PCBs, PCB equipment identification and inventory practice, field screening, and practical management options. The training was attended by 60 people representing the PMU, EDL, MoE, Service Providers, Concessions, and Academic Institutions and Research Centers. Personal Protective Euipment (PPE) and testing tool kits have been purchased for the PMU and EDL staff. Demonstration of the use of test kits was conducted by the international technical expert at the Bauchrieh workshop as part of the training.
