Disbursement rate has increased from 27 percent in February 2014 to 56 percent as of end of Novermber 2014. An implementation plan and procurement plan through March 2015 (updated in February 2014) is being implemented by the PIU. The contract between DSSB and a national NGO (Association tunisienne de la santé de la réproduction -- ATSR) that was signed on March 18, 2013 and renewed a year later is being implemented. Project activities completed jointly by DSSB and ATSR include the following: Component 1 – Community mobilization: - Organization of three regional workshops about interpersonal communication for behavior change. Beneficiaries included members of the community/citizens health committees, as well as representatives of the support committees, including health professionals. In the governorate of Tataouine (April 28-29, 2014), 43 beneficiaries participated; in the governorate of Kasserine (May 27-28, 2014), 41 beneficiaries participated; and in the governorate of Jendouba (June 17-18, 2014), 43 beneficiaries participated. These seminars were prepared and organized by the PIU and facilitated by a consultant and the national project coordinator. - Organization of three regional workshops about birth control and breastfeeding. Beneficiaries included members of the community/citizens health committees, as well as representatives of the support committees, including health professionals. Around 60 beneficiaries participated in each workshop, in the governorate of Jendouba (August 19-20, 2014), the governorate of Kasserine (August 26-27, 2014) and the governorate of Tataouine (September 2-3, 2014). These seminars were prepared and organized by DSSB, the PIU and ATSR. Component 2 – Participatory service delivery planning: - Finalization of participatory local action plans to improve health services based on local community scorecards. - Acquisition of equipment (such as fridges and air conditioners) and communication material (e.g. projectors and flash disks) included in the participatory local priorities. Component 3 – Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation: - Finalization of monitoring frameworks associated with the aforementioned participatory local action plans. - Finalization of the impact evaluation preparation, data collection and analysis to determine the baseline (February-March, 2014). - Finalization of a users’ satisfaction survey, training of local interviewers, and data collection on a quarterly basis.
