No I. SUMMARY OF PROJECT STATUS AND PROPOSED CHANGES The World Bank Strengthening Hydro-Meteorological and Climate Services (P159217) Project implementation is accelerating after a lengthy process to get the project to effectiveness and slow start. Rehabilitation works are ongoing on MettelSat buildings, and are to be paid on GFDRR funds (TF0A4389). The closing date is currently December 31, 2019, but the donor has agreed to extend the REFT by 5 months to allow completion of ongoing activites. This extension will prevent a funding gap for the remainder of the project (GEF funding, TF0A4390, RETF, closing June 30, 2022) which would otherwise fund the remaining contract (about US$600,000). The Project Implementation Unit’s performance is overall moderately satisfactory. They have hired internal and external auditors, and there are no overdue audit reports for this Project. II.
