Despite the COVID-19 pandemic which slowed down the implementation of certain activities of the Program, during the period encompassing March to August 2020, the Program achieved the following results: (i) Two out of three indicators of the Program Development Objective (PDO) and nine of the thirteen intermediate indicators are progressing towards reaching the 2022 target values; (ii) Among the 16 planned activities of the Program Action Plan (PAP), 9 actions have been achieved and; (iii) disbursements reached US $ 89.5 million US $ (45%), as of November 30, 2020, excluding the US$ 50 million advance. Eight million US $ were used to repay the advance. A follow up discussion to close formally the MTR will be organized on December 16, 2020 to review the progress made on some critical activities, including: (i) The amendment of the aggregation Law 04-12 to facilitate the commercialization of fruit and vegetables from aggregation projects, (ii) The establishment and registration of the Local development Company (Société de Développement Local, SDL) that will manage the Rabat-Sale-Temara wholesale market as well as the signing of the partnership agreement (convention de partenariat) for the construction of the wholesale market and (iii) the construction of the Meknes agribusiness innovation center to support the development and growth of innovative agribusiness SMEs.
