Loan to China - Tuberculosis Control Project
2.     The Executive Directors considered the President's Memorandum and Recommendation
(R2002-003 1, dated March 4, 2002) and approved the loan to the People's Republic of China for a
Tuberculosis Control Project in the amount of US$104 million on the payment terms and other terms and
conditions set out in the President's Memorandum.
Loan to Paraguay - Pilot Community Development Project
3.     The Executive Directors considered the President's Memorandum and Recommendation
(R2002-0032, dated March 4, 2002; 0032/3, dated March 20, 2002) and approved the loan to the
Republic of Paraguay for a Pilot Community Development Project in the amount of US$9 million on the
payment terms and other terms and conditions set out in the President's Memorandum.
Proposed Credit to Tanzania - Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project (IDA/R2002-0027)
4.     At the request of Mr. Schaffer, this project, which was distributed for consideration under the
Streamlined Procedure, was rescheduled for consideration under the Regular Procedure at the meeting of
the Executive Directors on Tuesday, March 26, 2002 (A2002-0017/1[SecM2002-0160/1], dated March
20, 2002).
Adaptable Program Lending (2nd Phase) - Mexico - Basic Education Development Project
5.     The Executive Directors approved the loan to the United Mexican States for a Basic Education
Development Project Phase II in the amount of US$300 million on the payment terms and other terms
and conditions set out in the President's Memorandum (R2002-0033, dated March 4, 2002). This project
is the second phase of a three-phase program supported by an Adaptable Program Loan approved by the
Board on June 4, 1998.
Lesotho: Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper Preparation Status Report and Joint IDA-IMF Staff
Assessment
6.     The Executive Directors recorded their approval on March 14, 2002 of the recommendation
contained in the Report entitled "Lesotho: Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper Preparation Status Report
and Joint IDA-IMF Staff Assessment" (IDA/SecM2002-0105, dated March 4, 2002) that the Status
Report provided a sound basis for the development of a full PRSP, and a context for continued access to
IDA assistance and Fund concessional lending.
Date of Next Meeting
7.    It was agreed to hold a meeting of the Executive Directors of the Bank and IDA on Tuesday,
March 26, 2002.
