Training in Module 1 to 5 has been completed for mathematics teachers nationwide, the online community platform is up and running, and 200 mathematics kits were been distributed to schools. The pilot and training for the teacher’s appraisal instrument and the development of standards for mathematics instruction was completed. The pilot for technology assisted learning was completed and a comprehensive review of the program has been undertaken to identify lessons to incorporate going forwards. Construction of the two new schools began on October 15, 2018, and procurement for furniture and equipment for the two new schools is proceeding. Finally, the education management information system has been developed and the pilot of 20 schools is completed. However, although there have been important advances, delays persist in both teacher training and construction components and have been exacerbated by the current health pandemic.
