As of August 28 2014, over 96 percent of the original Grant amount of US$25 million has been disbursed. A first Additional Financing of US$15 million was approved by the World Bank Board on May 21, 2011, signed on July 19, 2011 and declared effective on October 11, 2011; to date US$2,016,344.49 (13.44%) of the funds have been disbursed. A second additional financing for the project approved by the World Bank Board on June 4, 2013, has also disbursed US$2,239,953.99 (16%). Between June and August 2014, about six contracts amounting to US$14.12 million committed have been signed and works are ongoing now. External Auditors confirm that the project financial management and accounting procedures are in line with international standards. The audit report covering the Financial period April 2013 to February 2014 was issued by the External Auditors without any adverse findings. The implementation of Safeguards instruments has improved and more can be done to further make the lot of project affected persons better. Since January2014, six EIAs and RAPs have been prepared by Government, cleared by the Bank and disclosed for the following Public Disclosure Copy works which have started and are on-going: Rehabilitation and Maintenance including surfacing of (i) Rue 195 AGP – Malou; (ii) rue Zooti; (iii) Rue 190 AGP; (iv) Voie de l’Eglise Baptiste; (v) Drainage construction at Adakpamè and (vi) Akodessewa-Kponu. These works which span periods between 8 to12 months are on-going currently. For all three financing (initial, AF 1 and AF2) the project has committed a total amount of US$ 40.8 million so far, out of which US$ 26.7 million is fully disbursed and accounted for. Procurement for the balance of works to be done is on-going in accordance with the project procurement plans revised and approved by the Bank.
