Supplemental Contribution Amendment to the Contribution Arrangement between the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, acting through its Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) (formerly the Department for International Development) and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development concerning the Trust Fund for Climate Risk and Early Warning Systems (MTO No. 069031) 1. Reference is made to the Contribution Arrangement between the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, acting through its Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) (formerly the Department for International Development) (the “Contributor”) and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development as Trustee of the Climate Risk and Early Warning Systems Trust Fund (the “Trustee”, and together with the Contributor, the “Participants” and each a “Participant”) regarding the Climate Risk and Early Warning Systems Trust Fund (MTO No. 069031) (the “Trust Fund”) effective as of November 12, 2019 (the “Contribution Arrangement”). 2. In connection with the Contribution Arrangement, and in support of the Trust Fund for Climate Risk and Early Warning Systems, the Trustee acknowledges that the Contributor has decided to contribute an additional grant in the sum of one million Pounds Sterling (GBP 1,000,000) as a supplemental contribution to the Trust Fund (the “Contribution”) in accordance with the terms of this Supplemental Contribution Amendment (the “Supplemental Contribution Amendment”). 3. The Contributor will deposit the Contribution in the currency and amount specified in paragraph 2 above into such bank account designated by the Trustee promptly following countersignature of this Supplemental Contribution Amendment and submission of a payment request by the Trustee. 4. When making a deposit, the Contributor will instruct its bank to include in its deposit details information (remittance advice) field of its SWIFT deposit message, information indicating: the amount deposited, that the deposit is made by the Contributor for MTO No. 069031 (the Trust Fund for Climate Risk and Early Warning Systems), and the date of the deposit (the “Deposit Instructions”). 5. Promptly upon the receipt of the Contribution funds and the accompanying Deposit Instructions, the Trustee will convert such funds into the United States dollars at the exchange rate obtained by the Trustee on the date of the conversion. Where the Contribution funds prove to be insufficient to complete activities as a result of exchange rate fluctuations, neither the Trustee nor the Contributor will bear any responsibility for providing any additional financing. 6. All other terms of the Contribution Arrangement will remain the same and apply to the Supplemental Contribution Amendment. 7. The Trustee will disclose this Supplemental Contribution Amendment and related information on this Trust Fund in accordance with the World Bank Policy on Access to Information. By entering into this Supplemental Contribution Amendment, the Contributor consents to disclosure of this Supplemental Contribution Amendment and related information on this Trust Fund. 1 8. Each of the Participants represents, by confirming its acceptance below, that it is authorized to enter into this Supplemental Contribution Amendment and act in accordance with its provisions. The Participants are requested to sign and date this Supplemental Contribution Amendment, and upon possession by the Trustee of this fully signed Supplemental Contribution Amendment, this Supplemental Contribution Amendment will come into effect as of the date of the last signature.
