Other civil works contracts under Component 1 are expected to be under execution by early 2021, generating at its peak of activity about 2000 direct and indirect jobs. Component 1 aims at improving road safety and reducing transport costs in the Northwestern corridor. In addition, the Borrower is ready to bid a series of logistics studies that will look for solutions to increase efficiency in the logistics sector of Argentina (Infrastructure for Development Corridor Management Component). One of the Project's objectives is to incorporate resilience into the planning of transport. In this regard, all culverts and river crossings included in the ongoing and future civil works have been checked for their climate resilience design. In addition, the Borrower has been collaborating with the Bank and a group of experts that undertook a study to model the risks and vulnerabilities to flooding of the multimodal transport network of Argentina. As a result, a visualization tool that allows to prioritize investments and assess criticality of transport assets is currently installed in the National Roads Directorate (DNV). 6/29/2020 Page 1 of 7 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Northwestern Road Development Corridor Project (P163115) Risks Systematic Operations Risk-rating Tool Risk Category Rating at Approval Previous Rating Current Rating Political and Governance Moderate Moderate Moderate Macroeconomic Moderate Substantial Substantial Sector Strategies and Policies Moderate Moderate Moderate Technical Design of Project or Program Moderate Moderate Moderate Institutional Capacity for Implementation and Moderate Moderate Moderate Sustainability Fiduciary Moderate Moderate Moderate Environment and Social Substantial Substantial Substantial Stakeholders Moderate Moderate Moderate Other -- Moderate Moderate Overall Moderate Substantial Moderate Results PDO Indicators by Objectives / Outcomes Improve connectivity and road safety, and support corridor development in the Northwest of Argentina IN00850695 ►Travel time savings (percentage) (Percentage, Custom) Baseline Actual (Previous) Actual (Current) End Target Value 0.00 0.00 0.00 20.00 Date 24-Apr-2017 07-Sep-2018 07-Sep-2018 24-Oct-2022 Travel time savings are expected to take place once civil works are completed.
