To date, 50 weather stations and nine (of 45) water level gauges have been installed and are providing data to the hydrological-hydrodynamic model that has been set up. The operation of the flood control system and the early warning system remain to be completed before the loan closing date. The Comments: Flood Management Center building, which is under construction, will house the Central SCADA that is to be installed shortly. The PMU should provide technical guidance in setting up the SCADA, linking the main system to the sub-systems (at the pumping stations and the gates) and stipulating the operating protocols. The staff that will operate the IFMS system need to be identified/appointed and trained prior to the commissioning of the SCADA system.
