The bulk of the procurement activities is done and good progress is being made by all the components: (a) ten out of twelve road improvement contract packages are under implementation on about 320 km; (b) eleven out of thirteen contract packages under the Institutional Capacity Development component are under implementation and the remaining two are at an advanced procurement stage and are expected to be awarded by Public Disclosure Copy March 2013; (c) the first year preventive maintenance program is under implementation and will be completed by December 31, 2012; and (d) two out of four Long-term Performance- Based Maintenance contract packages already bid out and the two remaining packages will be bidded out on November 29, 2012. The project restructuring is underway. Bank is awaiting the formal request from the government to proceed with the internal clearances and approvals.
