Activities are being implemented by the PIU to deliver (i) the Computers, Networking equipment and Peripherals, (ii) Animation Apprenticeship Program, (iii) KingstOOn Animation Festival 4, (iv) the refurbishment of 5 community centres, (v) training an additional 2,500 persons in document management and digitization.The project is currently being restructured because two project activities ((i) the Animation Studio Apprenticeship Program and (ii) the KingstOOn Animation Conference have to be pivoted from “face to face” to “virtual” which requires addition of two disbursement categories and an amendment to the legal agreement. The Animation Scholarship Program will train 80 students in 2D and 3D Global Animation Certification courses. The KingstOOn Animation Conference and Afro-descendant Film Festival is planned for April 2021 with the themes Earn, Learn and Display.
