Overallimplementation progress has been upgraded to Moderately Satisfactory from Moderately Unsatisfactory based on: (i)theimproved paceof implementation which has significantly picked up since October 2011 – with disbursements rising from 18%to 44%(US$ 36.0million) during this time period; (ii) satisfactory progress of 90 sub-projects under the Public Disclosure Copy first round of AIF(77%disbursement) .The second round AIF was awarded to 106 sub-projects in April 2012, and the initial disbursement of 25% hasbeencompleted; (iii)procurement of 3,200 kilometer-long fiber optic, and operationalization of Bangladesh Research andEducationNetwork (BdREN) at four universities; and (iv) establishment of Digital Library.
