We also refer to your letter dated June 4, 2021 requesting the Bank to consider key issues discussed at the Project’s mid-term review, which was conducted in April 2021. We are pleased to inform you that the Bank agrees to amend the above agreements as follows: 1. Financing Agreement - Grant Number D347-3A: (a) The objective of the Project, in the “Project Description” under Schedule 1 to the Financing Agreement is hereby amended to read as follows: “To strengthen the institutional capacity for quality doctoral training, research, and innovation in transformative technologies in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA).” (b) Section III.B.2 of Schedule 2 to the Financing Agreement is amended to read as follows: “2. The Closing Date is December 31, 2025.” 2. KWGPF Grant Agreement - TF0A8639 (a) The objective of the Project, in the “Project Description” under Schedule 1 to the Grant Agreement is hereby amended to read as follows: -2- “To strengthen the institutional capacity for quality doctoral training, research, and innovation in transformative technologies in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA).” (b) Section III.B.2 of Schedule 2 to the Grant Agreement is amended to read as follows: “2.
