The project closing date has been extended to July 31st 2015, allowing to fully achieve the Project Development Objective. Page 1 of 5 The World Bank Report No: ISR16725 * Component 1: The PMU has exceeded the target of contracting 48CBOs for Q1-2014, out of a total of 50 by the end of the project. To date 48 CBOs have been contracted to carry out 48 sub-projects. The 48 operational sub-projects were already mobilizing 1957 youth by September, 2014. The target for female participation has been almost met in absolute numbers 987 young women by September 31-2014 as compared to established target of 813). Cash Transfers to the 1957 beneficiaries for the 48 sub-projects have been made Public Disclosure Copy successfully. The payments were directly transferred to beneficiaries through the postal system and therefore the cash transfers via mobile initially planned are no longer necessary. * Component 2: The component's activities are advancing well. These include (i) a report on the jobs demand and supply for youth without diploma for Siliana and Kasserine, (ii) a list of selected youth in training centers, (iii) signed agreements with host centers (internships and apprenticeships with employers) in Siliana. In preparation for the launch of this component, several focus groups and individual interviews were conducted in both regions in collaboration with two regional coordinators, local authorities and especially employers’ organizations. Component 3: The Al Wifak Siliana association has already launched the call for proposals, established the Selection Committee, selected of beneficiary groups, and conducted training sessions in the following delegations: Bargou, Krib, Laaroussa, Bouarada, Bourouis, Siliana and Gaafour. The committee selected 143 beneficiaries who followed the training course and 86 young people that received a grant (31 Women / 55 men). The implementation of Component 3 started in Kasserine on October 2014. Component 4: As agreed, the PMU has been using the a detailed Results Framework since early January 2013. In addition, an integrated on-line Monitoring Platform is operational (http://www.me-plaform.net) and data entry is performed in real time by each individual PMU member. The platform includes a mobile phone application (Najjehni2) developed by Tunisiana providing Youth with real-time job market information and a mobile function for ongoing beneficiary feedback which became operational in early 2014. The ISDS was disclosedon April 18, 2012. The Grant Agreement (GA) was signed at World Bank headquarters on April 20, 2012, during the Spring Meetings. A project launch event was held on May 23, 2012, at the Hotel Sufetula in the Governorate of Kasserine which included several government representatives, as well as local, private, and international stakeholders.
