Overall the implementation progress is advancing well. All 28 major works packages have been procured and is at different stage of implementation with actual physical works implementation estimated at 75% and disbursement rate at 55.3%. The project closing date has been extended by 18months from December 31, 2020 to June 30, 2022. Majority of road constructions packages have been substantially completed with 152 kilometers of roads including streetlights and pedestrian walkways completed out of 206km planned. Four major road packages with 31.5km have commenced in April 2020 . So far about 35.7 kilometers of standalone stormwater drains, 7 modern markets, 2 daladala bus stands, Makangarawe Health Centre, Makangarawe football playground, community parks and 20 solid waste collection points have been completed.
