However, progress was made on some key activities under the ongoing Road Climate Resilience Project, specifically with the completion of the feasibility study, detailed design and bidding documents for TLBRP. While the mobilization of Project Manager (National) in June 2020 represents an important step forward in the project, the contract award or selection of the remaining key Project Management Unit (PMU) staff have not been completed. The contract award for the Chief Technical Advisor (International) and the Road Construction Advisor (International) under an ADB-funded road project has not been made, pending approval from the Prime Minister’s Office for them to enter Timor-Leste. The recruitment of the World Bank Project Officer (National) and the Gender Specialist (National), both funded by the World Bank-funded Road Climate Resilience Project, is underway with a plan for contract awards in August 2020. In addition to the PMU staff recruitment, there are several urgent activities which need to be undertaken, including: (i) the finalization of the Project Operations Manual (POM); (ii) the selection of surveyors/assistants for Land Acquisition and Resettlement Survey Updates and Compensation Processing for Hatubuilico– 8/24/2020 Page 1 of 6 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Timor-Leste Branch Roads Project (P155203) Letefoho; (iii) the start of the selection process of the Construction Supervision Consultant (CSC) for Hatubuilico–Letefoho–Gleno (including design upgrade for Letefoho–Gleno); (iv) the procurement of the road upgrading and maintenance contractor for Hatubuilico–Letefoho; and (v) the selection of the Geotechnical Advisor (International) and the Road Safety Advisor (International).
