Prospects of world import demand for bauxite (English)

The implications of the projected world aluminum demand for the potential level of bauxite and alumin exports from the developing countries are examined. The OECD demand for bauxite in 1975 is estimated to be 61.6 million tons. At the 1966 rate of demand, the level of world reserves are sufficient to last well beyond the year 2000.
