With respect to restore transport service levels, most of the road contracts are under construction with 40-60% physical progress achieved. One final road package with four lots in Siem Reap is at the final stage of re-bidding and one added bridge is under bidding. For restoring water and sanitation services, except for one well package that is under re-bidding, all the other well packages and all the latrine packages are under construction. To Page 1 of 5 The World Bank Report No: ISR11503 strengthen the government's capacity in disaster preparedness and management, the National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM) hired an international consultant who started on April 1, 2013, and has since carried out two workshops and submitted its Inception Report for further work to be carried out. Although results indicators in the results framework are lagging behind year two projections, the latest implementation plan shows that the project can be completed by July 31, 2014 and within the available budget envelope. The NCDM needs to hire key technical staff for its project management unit to ensure sufficient capacity to work with the international consultant and complete the project on time.
