Project disbursement has now reached 53%. An independent evaluation of the performance of all ULGs and Tinkhundlas showed a result that all local governments evaluated performed satisfactorily and well above the threshold for qualifying for project funds. Therefore in the 2015/16 financial year, all ULGs and Tinkhundlas will receive higher proportions of project funds. This will potentially make the disbursement projections of project funds to be higher than earlier anticipated. The evidence of more intensive supervision efforts by the PST and the increased support provided by the Urban as well as the Rural Capacity Building Mobile Team (UCBMT and RCBMT) contributed to this improved performance of the project and the GoS is commended for this effort.
