Global Water AN ACTION-ORIENTED THINK TANK FOR THE WATER SECTOR Security and Sanitation The global crisis of water access, quality, and sustainability imperils Partnership lives and livelihoods. The Global Water Security and Sanitation Partnership (GWSP) – a multi-donor fund within the World Bank – produces cutting-edge research and analytics to create and deliver urgent, practical, and innovative solutions. Our goal is a water-secure world. We provide our clients with policy advice, technical assistance, and capacity building – and turn this knowledge into action through policy dialogues and lending operations. We are an action-oriented global think tank focused entirely on the water sector, with a strong emphasis on implementation. We work in partnership with our clients to strengthen water sustainability, institutions, financing, inclusion, and resilience. TO SUPPORT THE COVID-19 RESPONSE AND RECOVERY, WE HAVE WORKED WITH GOVERNMENTS TO PUT IN PLACE URGENT INTERVENTIONS DESIGNED TO ENSURE THAT: 1. Households have reliable water to facilitate handwashing. 2. Adequate and well-functioning water, sanitation and hygiene services are available in health care facilities, schools, and priority public spaces. 3. Utilities are supported to provide continuous service. 4. Water services critical to household food security, such as irrigation, are maintained.
