The extended effectiveness date will allow the project to fulfill all the effectiveness conditions. Meanwhile, key project preparatory activities include the establishment of the regulatory framework for i) the Digital Governance Unit (DGU) under the Office of Presidency to develop and coordinate the implementation of the national digital governance strategy, and ii) the National Civil Registry and Identification Center (NCRIC) to manage the central civil registry and national identification databases. As of date, the PIU has finalized the recruitment of the Chief Digital Officer and his core team, the chief accountant, the accountant, and the contract management specialist.
