It has started reporting on strategic priority result areas and plans to generate the needed data for assessing success. AFAAS has continued working with twenty (20) well-established country fora (CF) and is also working with additional twenty (20) new CF that are at different stages of formation and level of development. It has grown individual membership to 3,148 individuals. In terms of institutional membership, there are 1,093 members of which the private sector constitutes 878 (80%) and the rest are from the public sector members. CF continue to play an active role in advocacy and resource mobilization. AFAAS has expanded the use of the sub-grant scheme to cover much more CF than in previous years. As of this mission, the total number of AEAS actors reached is 25,516 individuals. This figure represents an improvement from the previous reporting period (20,508), and has met exceeded the full 2017year target of 25,000. The 3rd Africa-Wide Agricultural Extension Week that brought together AEAS stakeholders in Durban, South Africa under the theme Scaling Up Climate Smart Agriculture: Integrating Youth, Women and the Digital Revolution was successfully executed. Moreover, AFAAS has engaged its stakeholders in a substantive way in the formulation of a strategic plan for the next ten years (2018-2027).
