        Sixth Amendment to the Contribution Agreement between the Italian Republic,
        represented by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and the
        International Bank for Reconstruction and Development concerning the Global
        Partnership for Education Fund (MTO No. 069020)

Dear Director General Marrapodi:

1.      We refer to the Contribution Agreement between the Italian Republic, represented by its
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (the “Contributor”) and the International
Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), acting as trustee (the “Trustee”) of the Global
Partnership for Education Fund (MTO No. 069020) (the “Trust Fund”) dated April 25, 2013, as
amended (the “Contribution Agreement”).

2.      We are pleased to acknowledge, on behalf of IBRD, the intention of the Contributor to
make a contribution to the Trust Fund in the amount of four million Euro (EUR 4,000,000) (the
“Contribution”).

3.      The Contributor, through the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, shall deposit
the Contribution promptly following countersignature in the full amount and currency specified in
paragraph 2 above into such bank account designated by the Trustee upon submission of a payment
request by the Trustee.

4.       When making the deposit, the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation shall instruct
its corresponding bank to include in its payment details information (remittance advice) field of its
SWIFT payment message, information indicating: the amount paid, that the payment is made by
the Contributor through the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation for MTO No. 069020
(the Global Partnership for Education Fund), and the date of the deposit.

5.      All other terms of the Contribution Agreement shall remain the same.

6.      IBRD will disclose this Amendment and related information on this Trust Fund in
accordance with the World Bank Policy on Access to Information. By entering into this
Amendment, the Contributor consents to disclosure of this Amendment and related information on
this Trust Fund.

7.       Please confirm your agreement with the foregoing, on behalf of the Contributor, by signing,
dating, and returning to us one of the enclosed originals of this Amendment. Upon receipt by IBRD
of the original of this Amendment countersigned by you, this Amendment will become effective as
of the date of the countersignature.
