No I. SUMMARY OF PROJECT STATUS AND PROPOSED CHANGES The World Bank Ghana Productive Safety Net Project (P164603) The Ghana Productive Safety Net Project (GPSNP) aims to support the Government to strengthen safety net systems that improve the productivity of the poor. The Project Appraisal Document (PAD) that was submitted to the World Bank’s Executive Directors for approval appraised two sources of financing to the GPSNP: the US$60 million IDA credit and US$23 million co-financing grant from the UK Department for International Development. The Project Development Objective (PDO) and associated Results Framework as detailed in the PAD can only be achieved through the IDA and DFID grant, which are both guided by the component description set out in the PAD. The Recipient-executed Trust Fund (RETF) for the DFID grant to the GPSNP is now active, with the associated Grant Agreement and Disbursement and Financial Information Letter having been prepared on the basis of the approved PAD. As a result, there is a need to restructure the Financing Agreement for the IDA Credit to reflect this second source of financing in the disbursement table by: (i) separating out the activities under Category 2 that DFID will not fund into a new Category 6; and (ii) changing the percentages to be funded by IDA under Category 1, 2 and 4. These changes are reflected in this restructuring paper and the ammendment to the Financing Agreement, which is attached to this restructuring package. II.
